Responsibilities
Repair & Maintenance Welding – focus on repairing and maintaining equipment, structures, and fixtures by applying heat to bond/fuse metal surfaces or parts.
Use hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to assemble metal components into parts for equipment.
Maintain and repair manufacturing production equipment, structures, pipe systems, and ductwork.
Inspect existing weldments to identify areas of weakness.
Perform metal cutting/trimming work or fabricate simple fixtures as needed.
Work under limited supervision for routine situations and provide assistance and training to lower level employees.
