The Port Hope Public library is hiring for a summer contract Library Services Assistant for the 2026 term.

  •   READ HOW TO APPLY CAREFULLY - APPLICATIONS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED VIA EMAIL BELOW DO NOT APPLY THROUGH ONLINE PORTAL Job Summary and Duties: Under the direction of the Library Services Manager, or designate, the Student Library Services Assistant (SLSA) will assist in supporting a variety of services at the library for the duration of this seasonal position.


    Some of those services may include: Assisting the Programming and Community Engagement Coordinator in the planning, designing and implementation of summer programs for 2026 as well as for future planning purposes Assisting the Library Service team by providing services to all patrons of the library, including circulation, information services, reader’s advisory, e-resource support and research requests Assisting the Library Services Manager with collecti...
