Position Summary: In accordance with the St. Peter's Health Partners Mission and Values, develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive program of lactation services across the SPHP Continuum of Women's and Children's Services. Required by NYCRR 10; 405.8, this regulation stipulates that one person in the organization, thoroughly trained in breastfeeding physiology and management be responsible for ensuring the implementation of an effective breastfeeding program. This is achieved through demonstration of advanced clinical skills, knowledge of standards of breastfeeding, clinical and educational consultations, program development and the incorporation of lactation research into nursing practice.
