Job Purpose

Provide laboratory attendant services in support of laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive pre-packaged samples and transport them to appropriate laboratory areas.
• Receive, open, and distribute mail and faxes.
• Pick up bio-hazardous waste and package for disposal according to safety standards.
• Complete logs and records as required (e.g., eyewash, spill kit, bench cleaning).
• Open, sort, and rack specimens upon receipt.
• Wash glassware including loading, operating, and unloading equipment.
• Prepare clean glassware for sterilization (e.g., capping tubes).
• Sort and restock clean glassware and other laboratory inventory (gloves, labels, etc.).
