Responsibilities
Prepare and test samples to evaluate product mechanical properties.
Prepare and examine samples requiring metallographic evaluation.
Safely operate laboratory and mechanical testing equipment.
Perform tensile tests on heat‑treated pipe, as‑welded pipe, and upset tubing.
Perform hardness tests on as‑welded pipe, quench and temper pipe, and as‑quenched pipe.
Perform impact tests as required.
Follow detailed testing procedures and record findings, communicating results with stakeholders.
Interpret weld quality based on metallographic results and communicate findings to the Mill Line.
