Description: An interventional radiographer assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and more. Using sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment, responsible for capturing images of the blood vessels. Duties and Responsibilities:
Adheres to AORN and AAMI Standards when working in the Operating Room and Sterile Processing.
Displays working knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment/supplies.
Follows department and hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Always maintains aseptic technique
Works collaboratively as a member of the surgical team
Required Qualifications:
Current ARRT certification, VI credential preferred
RCIS credential also considered in conjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
