Description and Requirements

Lead Accountant - Helix Latin America Accounting will be primarily responsible for supporting the local statutory and US GAAP accounting for the Latin America region. The role reports directly to the Manager- Helix Latin America Accounting and works closely with the global shared services team in Pune, India, and international teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly US GAAP close process for the Latin America region, ensuring accurate accounts in accordance with US GAAP.
• Support the Manager in meeting corporate deadlines, reporting requirements, and analyzing results while maintaining quality control.
• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries related to month end close.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.
• Perform in‑depth trial balance reviews and variance analysis of balance sheets and income statements.
