Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Willing to relocate to various locations, including hospitals, medical facilities, or clinics.
Responsibilities
Administer evaluative tests.
Use equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment.
Examine adult clients to assess hearing loss, recommend type of hearing instrument, take earmold impressions and perform follow‑up examinations and readjustments.
Follow through on treatment programs with patients.
Make decisions on tests and procedures.
Clean and maintain equipment.
Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re‑use according to standardized safety practices.
