Health Equity Liaison

Reports to: Director of Health Equity

Position Location: Various - La Tiendita

Status: Hourly

Job Summary

Health Equity Liaison – Will leverage La Tiendita as a health equity resource to support students, parents, and the community. Will strive to empower families to advocate for themselves and their communities through nutrition and other educational classes and sessions. Will provide information on Nutrition Education, Financial Literacy, and other social services including enrolling in SNAP and other state programs. Will collaborate with internal and external partners to maximize impact amongst RYSS students and family members as part of the RYSS District Community School Model.

Education and Certification

• High School diploma / GED, 2-3 years in customer service working with wraparound services, nonprofit work a plus.
• Experience in food pantry distribution a plus.
