Your Opportunity:

This “rural” 12-bed SL4 unit is located in the Drumheller Health Centre. As a Health Care Aide (HCA) and member of our Coalbanks nursing care team, you will provide direct resident-centered and family-centered care. You will be responsible for providing personal care and assisting with activities of daily living within the client’s authorized plan of care. Clients and their families are assisted to maximize their optimum level of independence. You will provide emotional support by being a good listener, being supportive, being friendly and sincere, and interacting in a positive and optimistic manner. You will provide care not limited to companionship, recreational activities, and supervision. This position is suitable for candidates who have a strong interest and skills in providing care to the elderly client, including those diagnosed with Alzheimer disease or other dementias.
