Ground Paramedic provides direct patient care and transportation when responding to both emergent and non-emergent calls for service. Ground Paramedic operates within all federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization and applicable Emergency Medical Services (EMS) protocols.
**Essential Job Functions**
+ __ Responds to calls, performs ALS patient assessment and triage
+ Performs indicated Advanced Life Support procedures as per the appropriate EMS Protocols under the direction of the Medical Control Physician, through standing orders or radio/phone communications. + Ensures that vehicles and equipment are ready for use at the beginning and end of shift. + Operates all vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. + Provides high level of customer service to all patients, patient’s families, community providers, visitors, and employees.
