We are looking for a Grain Merchant to contribute to the strategy and execution of the location's grain merchandising plan by managing sourcing and logistics, and guiding customer relations and contract management.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and potential customers, targeting those the company can profitably serve.
Maintain regular contact with customers at the location.
Contact producers on farms based on customer strategies to increase awareness of business needs and develop Crop Plans for key customers.
Develop and implement a merchandising strategy for the location.
Collect grain samples for processing to build a data sample base.
Develop grain contracts reflecting movement opportunities and customer strategy.
Ensure contract compliance, including signature and delivery.
