The successful candidate will assist in the planning, setup and execution of geotechnical field investigations for transportation and infrastructure projects.
Conduct asphalt and concrete coring operations
Observe and report geotechnical conditions from borehole drilling and assess subgrade conditions
Observe and record site conditions, drainage patterns
Support for laboratory and factual reporting teams
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives on time and within budget.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and health & safety regulations.
Qualifications
Ongoing Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology Degree
Ability to work independently
Ability to operate handheld drilling equipment and work safely in active roadway construction sites
