As a key member of the Government Legal Services team, you will report to the Senior General Counsel. Your responsibilities will encompass providing legal opinions, advising elected officials, and preparing various legal documents. Collaboration with external counsel and participating in negotiations will also be a significant part of your role, ensuring effective service delivery to the Métis community.
Key Responsibilities: • Draft and review complex contracts and agreements. • Prepare materials for senior management on litigation. • Support strategic priorities and legal compliance. • Collaborate with other nations and stakeholders. • Cover for Senior General Counsel as needed.
