Located in SW Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northern British Columbia - Floorhands are primarily responsible for handling drilling equipment on the drilling rig floor and keeping the rig and location clean and orderly.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assists the other crewmembers in their duties, including maintenance and repair of rig equipment, and he/she is a general all-around worker on the rig. There are usually two Floorhands on a crew, although smaller rigs may have only one. This is a manual labour position that involves making connections on the rig floor to connect and disconnect pipe smoothly and efficiently, assist with casing, and general housekeeping around the rig site.
Be prepared to work on a rotating shift schedule that operates twenty-four hours a day
