Job Summary

Financial Accountant – Mississauga, Canada. Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Accountant combines accounting skills with effective communication skills to provide accurate and appropriate financial information and undertake related accounts administration. This role is responsible for executing the month‑end close and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead timely month‑end close process such as preparing and posting journal entries in conjunction with Project Accounting.
• Analyze balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items while identifying root causes of discrepancies; prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger.
