About the job Financial Accountant (GL & Payments)

Responsible for ensuring smooth financial operations by managing cash flow and processing payments to vendors and suppliers. Tracks expenditures and reconciles processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports against account balances.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger (GL)

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries (e.g., accruals, prepayments, provisions, and allocations) with appropriate supporting documentation and approvals.
• Perform timely balance sheet reconciliations (including bank, intercompany, payroll clearing, fixed assets, and GST/withholding accounts), investigate variances, and resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing the chart of accounts, cost centres, and project codes, ensuring consistent and accurate financial coding across transactions.
