Field Engineer – Toronto, Ontario

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. is seeking a high‑caliber professional to lead the integration of design and field operations for complex Support‑of‑Excavation (SOE) and Sequential Excavation Method (SEM) projects. The role serves as the critical link between design intent and site execution within dense urban environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and sequence SEM rounds (drift headings, face support, shotcrete cycles); coordinate SOE systems (soldier piles/lagging, secant/diaphragm walls, sheet piles, tiebacks/soil nails, struts/walers).
• Oversee excavation activities, temporary works, utility protections, and traffic staging.
• Monitor geotechnical instrumentation (extensometers, piezometers, inclinometers, load cells), interpret trends and raise exceedances.
• Support dewatering plans and groundwater management in accordance with permits and discharge limits.
