A full-time family practice position is available. This rare opportunity to set your own work life balance in the East Kootenays! The candidate would have their own panel of patients for which they would provide longitudinal care. In addition, the candidate would share the responsibility to provide coverage at the Sparwood Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide longitudinal care for your own patient panel.
• Share coverage responsibilities at the Sparwood Emergency Department.
• Support the Emergency Department alongside emergency trained RNs with access to lab and x-ray technicians. The department averages 18 patients per day and operates from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is no overnight in-person call requirement in Sparwood.
• Participate in weekend (8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) and weekday evening (4:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.) call on a 1 in 6 rotation.
