CGN Brasil is a subsidiary of the CGN Group, a Chinese state‑owned conglomerate focused on developing the global energy market. With an installed capacity exceeding 100 GW, CGN operates in 16 countries across six continents, and it is recognized as the largest nuclear energy company in China and the third largest globally. CGN began its expansion into Brazil in 2019 with a focus on investments in clean energy generation and commercialization. As of now, CGN Brasil operates seven wind complexes and two solar complexes located in the states of Bahia, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, and Rio Grande do Sul, along with a solar project under construction in Ceará.
