This role requires experienced Psychiatric Emergency Nurses who will work primarily within the Emergency team and Mental Health Observation Unit. You will play an essential role in patient assessments, care planning, and interventions, while also supporting families during critical situations. Your demonstrated competence in crisis intervention and therapeutic communication will be vital for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychiatric assessments within a biopsychosocial framework
• Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic communication
• Develop and evaluate patient care plans
• Consult and support Emergency Department nurses
• Educate colleagues in mental healthcare practices
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of acute mental health experience
