EINL 200 – Culture and the Acquisition of Language and Literacy

This course provides students with an understanding and analysis of how culture influences the development of language, literacy and communication skills, with a particular focus on the language experiences of Aboriginal peoples in Canada.

Prerequisites

2nd year standing or permission of instructor. This course is restricted to students in the YNTEP program.

This course is part of the University of Regina’s Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education YNTEP Program offered in Whitehorse, YT.

Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction.
