Education facilitators deliver standardized Alzheimer Society of B.C. education workshops to people affected by dementia, the general public and other audiences. *Please note you must be 19 years or older to volunteer for this role.

Role responsibilities

• Prepare for and present/co-present selected standardized Alzheimer Society of B.C. education workshops.
• Establish a safe and welcoming environment for discussion and support.
• Comfortably support group discussions and answer questions.
• Be familiar with information resources, programs and services offered by the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and stay updated on information on dementia, caregiving issues and current research as well as available community resources available to people affected by dementia (as provided by your staff supervisor).
