Course Information

Course title: Jews in Film (JWST 309).

Description: An introduction to the portrayal of Jews in film from the 1920s to the present. Films are usually based on English literary texts; films in other languages will be subtitled.

Duration: August 31 – December 4, 2026.

Class days and times: Tuesday & Thursday, 2:35 – 3:55 pm.

Location: Leacock building, room 15.

Teaching Qualification Requirements

• Education: Advanced degree in film/communications.
• Experience: Extensive experience teaching the intersection of Jewish topics and film.
