Position Overview

Under the general guidance of the Manager or designate, and as a collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary team, the incumbent is responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of all prevention oriented Occupational and Environment Health & Safety program including:

• Coordinating the development and implementation of a safety program within the WRHA that is compliant with the Workplace Safety & Health Act and all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Advising and guiding departments/sites towards achieving compliance with Health & Safety regulations, codes and practices within their units.
• Assisting program and service managers in facilitating the resolution of concerns.
