The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, preparing special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef, training staff in food preparation, cooking and handling, supervising kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, cleaning kitchen and work areas, and organizing buffets and banquets.
