Role Overview

Reporting to the Associate Vice‑President and Chief Financial Officer, the Controller provides expert advice to executive leadership and the Board of Governors, exercises strong stewardship and risk accountability, and contributes to institutional decision‑making focused on long‑term financial sustainability and resilience.

The role oversees core financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and transactional services supporting approximately $1.6 billion in annual revenue and $4.2 billion in assets. Within a rapidly evolving post‑secondary financial and operating environment, the role requires a renewed focus on strengthening organizational culture, supporting leadership and talent development, and driving operational excellence, innovation, and a culture of continuous process improvement across the University.
