A master’s degree or its equivalent in the field of specialization and promise of teaching success and of scholarly or artistic achievements; a candidate without a master’s degree must have equivalent educational or professional experience in the appropriate area of instructional responsibility, and the recommendation for appointment must contain a statement of this equivalence.
Single Subject Music credential, with multiple years’ experience teaching in public schools.
Elementary general music teaching experience, including use of recent technology appropriate to music classrooms.
Experience with developing skills in teaching literacy, music of diverse cultures, and/or inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
College-level experience highly desirable.
Experience with supervising university students in fieldwork and University of the Pacific’s education programs.
