The City of Iqaluit is looking for a City Planner to join our team!

Title: City Planner

Department: Planning and Development

Status: Full-time permanent

Rate of Pay: $51.71 per hour, 35 hours a week

Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum

Union Status: Unionized

The City Planner is responsible for municipal planning activities. In this role they will implement the General Plan, Zoning By-law and other policies. The City Planner will contribute to and oversee both long‑term strategic planning and urban development.

Required Education and Experience

• University Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related field
• APPI/CIP Membership preferred (Candidate members will be considered)

Minimum Level of Experience

• 3 years of experience in Municipal or Development Planning
• Experience in adjacent planning specialisations will be considered
