This role reports to the Clinical Service Manager of Children's Mental Health.
Accountabilities:
Conduct assessments
Apply behavior management strategies; assist staff, parents and teachers in understanding and the application of these approaches
Conduct groups and provide case management services for children and youth with complex needs
Qualifications
Child and youth work diploma
Current member of Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counsellors
Undergraduate Degree in Psychology would be an asset
Two to three years current experience in child and adolescent mental health, conducting behavioral assessments with children, adolescents, and families, and responding to challenging behavior in a hospital/group home/classroom setting
