Provide support and engage with children and youth in care, leading and co‑leading pre‑approved psycho‑educational youth programming (social and emotional learning).
Act as a role model and advocate on behalf of children, youth and families for necessary supports and services.
Create opportunities for recreational and leisure activities that enhance relationships and community connections.
Attend and actively participate in community outings, appointments and meetings.
Help maintain a caring and safe environment for children and youth who may require assistance with self‑regulation, conflict resolution and healthy relationship skills.
Collaborate with external professionals—social workers, health care professionals, policing services, probation and public schools—when necessary.
Ensure accurate reporting, case‑management notes, file maintenance and crisis intervention.
