Responsibilities
Prepares patient for procedure by applying electrodes and shave prep if necessary.
Gathers patient information/history from patient and Meditech EMR, MUSE and the provincial Cardiac Registry (HeartIS); enters orders in Meditech; prepares information for the patient chart.
Sets up, calibrates, monitors and analyzes the patient’s ECG & hemodynamics during the various procedures; conveys vital information and any changes to the physician.
Enters data and prepares reports, with analysis of recorded hemodynamics including ejection fraction, coronary disease, resistances and calculation of valve gradient and area.
