Responsibilities

• Develop and improve methods to study biological processes related to food microbiology and safety.
• Write research proposals, establish experimental design, and implement project protocol.
• Design experiments for analysis and standardization of food microbiology and safety protocols.
• Lead collection and analysis of data, interpret results to inform research questions and objectives.
• Collaborate with other researchers to create and evaluate new methods and technologies for detecting and controlling foodborne pathogens.
• Independently design and execute research on isolation and taxonomic identification of microorganisms from various citrus products and processes.
• Manage laboratory activities and direct the work of other scientists, including graduate students, interns,...
